Not all dwarves live to scrape and gnaw upon the granite cheek of the underworld in frantic search of gems and metals. What good are the riches of the deep but to fashion a sturdy hall or embellish a favored goblet? The deep places of the world abound with treacherous beasts and sudden, bottomless crags. Industry does not come easy; mirth and laughter come with a price. A dwarf isn’t by nature driven to greed but required to adapt to the circumstance in which they find themselves. 

Brewing is the march toward progress; in Extended Fermentations, we explore the many ways in which it fires the engine of the dwarven machine- and not always through alcoholic brews...
